Watercolour and InkBrenda Turnour: Watercolour and Ink, Pen and Ink

Periodically it's fun to deviate from the more traditional watercolour by adding ink. The application of ink can alter the mood of the piece so whether or not to add ink is a judgement call. Sometimes I just feel in the mood and experiment. Doesn't always work but I have fun in the process. From time to time, I also enjoy adding oil or chalk pastels, rice papers, gouache, etc.--in which case, the painting is then considered a 'mixed media' work.
